Bactrim contraindications

Bactrim is contraindicated if you have any of the following conditions:
- If you are a chronic alcoholic;
- If you are in a state of poor nutrition;
- If you are pregnant or nursing a baby;
- If you are sensitive to or have ever had an allergic reaction to trimethoprim, sulfamethoxazole, or other sulfa drugs;
- If you are taking anticonvulsants;
- If you develop severe diarrhea;
- If you have a folic acid deficiency;
- If you have aids (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) and are taking Bactrim to treat or prevent pneumocystis carinii pneumonia;
- If you have been diagnosed as having malabsorption syndrome (abnormal intestinal absorption);
- If you have been diagnosed as having megaloblastic anemia, which is a blood disorder due to a deficiency of folic acid;
- If you have impaired kidney or liver function;
- If you have severe allergies or bronchial asthma;
- Pregnant or plan to be pregnant;
- Suffering to breastfeeding;
- Suffering to the kidney disease;
- Suffering to the problem of liver disease;
- Suffering to the problems of anemia;
- Suffering to the problems of blood disorders;
- Suffering to the problems of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency;
- Suffering to the problems of heart attack or heart diseases;
- Suffering to the problems of high blood levels of potassium;
- Suffering to the problems of porphyria;

Bactrim interactions

Your doctor know if you are taking any of the following or other drugs:
- Warfarin;
- Valproic acid;
- Trimetrexate;
- Triamterene;
- Tolbutamide;
- Spironolactone;
- Rifampin;
- Ramipril;
- Quinapril;
- Pyrimethamine;
- Procainamide;
- Potassium salts;
- Potassium phosphate;

- Digoxin;
